Dr Muhammad Hanri
Muhammad Hanri is the Head of the Social Protection and Labour Research Group of The Institute for Economic and Social Research, University of Indonesia (LPEM FEB UI). He is also a lecturer at the university and serves as an independent consultant in various ministries and institutions.
He earned a PhD in economics from the School of Social Sciences, University of Southampton. He also served in various positions as a consultant and researcher in several institutions such as the Ministry of National Development Planning (BAPPENAS) Republic of Indonesia, National Economic Council (KEN) Republic of Indonesia, The World Bank at Washington D.C. Headquarters Office, ESRC for Population Change at the University of Southampton, as well as an individual consultant in other institutions.
His research interest is labour economics, social protection, poverty and inequality, quantitative economics, and development economics.
