Mlondi Ndovela is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Sustainability Transitions (CST), Stellenbosch University and also a research consultant for United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research. Mlondi is part of a research team that is working developing a hybrid model for South Africa. The aim of this project is to extrapolate macroeconomic implications, risks, costs, and benefits of South Africa’s energy transition. Partners of the project include: Centre for Sustainability Transitions, French Agency for Development (AFD), Presidential Climate Commission (PCC), Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) and National Treasury (NT).
