James Reeler is the Senior Manager: Climate Action at the Worldwide Fund for Nature in South Africa. He has worked on climate change issues around mitigation, adaptation and impacts for more than 18 years. His focus has included work within the private sector and public sector, including developing adaptation projects for several UN agencies. Over the 10 years that he has been with WWF, he has played a role in assessing carbon markets, engaging with national and international policy, and engaged with many partner organisations to provide technical inputs into climate change issues. His research has also focussed on developmental issues related to climate change, including impacts on species distributions, optimal mitigation action in the electricity sector, and household-level responsibility based on consumption in South Africa.
